Carolina Jazz Club friends,

One of my greatest thrills is listening to the big band at the Village Vanguard in NYC.  It is a small room and there are no bad seats in the house.  I think that we can reproduce that kind of experience here in Columbia at Chayz Lounge.

I’m sending this out before we release it to the various media outlets.  (There are only 80 seats in Chayz Lounge.) 
My Big Band will perform Wed. evening, Oct. 18th from 7:00 to 9:00.  Will it be too loud?  The loudest group I ever heard was a three-piece rock band … and I’ve heard a single DJ make even more noise than that.  Yes, it can be thrilling to be bathed in full sound, but it is also equally exciting to be able to hear nuances at a whisper dynamic. Our 12 players/singers are sensitive musicians who enjoy sharing their passions for the different  kinds of music that the group always features.

Entrance & parking are located on Park Street between Lady and Gervais.  Show your ticket and the $5 charge will be waived.
Tickets are $15 in advance $20 at the door … great food and bar menus are available.
